01 · FIRST BUILD ACCESS AND REFUNDS
Ongoing access. A simple decision.
First Build is a digital, self-paced program sold to a parent or legal guardian for one household. It includes the materials stated on the checkout page at the time of purchase.
Ongoing household access
First Build stays in the purchasing household’s account. Your family can work through the lessons at its own pace and return later to review a move, improve the project, or build it again.
Your household also keeps any printed or downloaded First Build workbook materials and the project your teen creates.
Fourteen-day satisfaction window
If First Build is not a fit, the purchasing parent may request a full refund within 14 calendar days of purchase. Email bud@budjohnson.com from the checkout email address with the order number. We do not require a reason.
After 14 days, First Build purchases are final. Refunds may be limited to one First Build purchase per household. If a duplicate charge or technical access error occurs, contact us promptly so we can make it right.
02 · PARENT APPROVAL AND TEEN SAFETY
One parent-owned account. Clear permission points.
A parent or legal guardian purchases and manages the household account. The program is designed for teens roughly 12 to 18. The parent decides whether it fits their teen and remains responsible for supervision, household rules, and compliance with any third-party tool’s terms.
Approval is required before

- Entering payment information or making a purchase
- Publishing a project, sending it to strangers, or sharing it publicly

- Uploading a teen’s photo, voice, video, or identifying work for public use
What Homegrown Builders is not
Homegrown Builders is not a school, babysitting service, emergency support line, unrestricted online community, or promise of private tutoring. We do not provide open direct messaging between teens and strangers. Parents should contact emergency services or an appropriate professional for urgent safety, health, legal, or mental-health concerns.
Feedback, projects, and media
We may ask for feedback after a family has completed work. We will not publish a teen’s name, image, voice, project, quote, or identifying details without parent permission. A parent may withdraw future permission by emailing us, although material already shared by an independent third-party platform may be outside our control.
Privacy
Please read the Homegrown Builders privacy notice. Homegrown Builders collects information from the purchasing adult. If we knowingly collect personal information directly from a child under 13, we will seek verifiable parental consent before using or disclosing it, consistent with applicable law.
